Delete Your Account

iDj lets you delete your account and all associated data at any time — both from inside the app and by contacting us directly. This page explains exactly what is deleted, what is retained, and how to submit a deletion request.

1. How to Delete Your Account In-App

The fastest way to delete your iDj account is directly from the app:

1. Open the iDj app and sign in to your account.
2. Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen until you see the Danger Zone section.
4. Tap Delete My Account.
5. Read the confirmation dialog that lists what will be deleted, then tap Delete Account.
6. Type DELETE in the confirmation field and tap Delete Account again.
7. Your account and all associated data are permanently deleted immediately.

2. How to Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by contacting us through our contact page (Privacy & Data section) with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and the email address linked to your iDj account. We will process your request within 30 days.

3. What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your iDj account profile (email, display name, username, phone number)
• Your DJ profile and stage information (if you activated DJ mode)
• All DJ sessions you created as a DJ
• All song queues and now-playing records associated with your sessions
• Your profile photo stored in Firebase Storage
• Your session access records (sessions you joined as a customer)
• Unlock requests you submitted
• Your Firebase Authentication account (you will be signed out immediately)

4. What Data Is Retained or Anonymized

The following data is not deleted but is anonymized or retained for a limited period:

• Song requests in other DJs' active sessions — requests you submitted in another DJ's session remain in their queue but your name and user ID are replaced with "Deleted User" to avoid disrupting the live session. These records are removed when the session ends (queue history is cleared after 90 days).
• Server logs — standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, request paths) are retained for up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention, then automatically purged.

5. Deletion Is Permanent

Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. Once confirmed, your data cannot be recovered. If you later wish to use iDj again you will need to create a new account.
